            This data protection declaration contains the “duty to inform when collecting personal data from the data subject” in accordance with Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO).

§3 Data Collection and Processing

            When a member joins, the association collects the following data:

             We store this information on our computer system (insert further details, such as the allocation of member numbers, if applicable). The personal data is protected from third party access by appropriate technical and organisational measures.

§5 Purpose and legal basis of data collection, processing or use,

             The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Art. 6, para. 1, lit. b) DSGVO, as the processing is necessary for the fulfilment of a contractual relationship – here: Membership in the association – is necessary. The main purpose of the collection, processing and use of personal data is member support and administration as well as the pursuit of the association’s objective and the achievement of the association’s purpose. Due to its membership in the aforementioned associations and federations, the association is obliged to transmit the data to them. The processing of the data is necessary to protect a legitimate interest of our association (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO).

            For the collection of further personal data and for such data that is to be published in the association’s publications and/or online media, a written declaration of consent is obtained from the member in compliance with Art. 7 DSGVO. The data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of Art. 6 para. 1 lit a (consent). For this purpose, a corresponding form of the association is to be signed by the member. The decision to collect further personal data and its publication is made voluntarily by the member. The member can revoke the consent at any time without adverse consequences with effect for the future in text form to the association’s executive committee (tat /gerberau 17, 79098 Freiburg im Breisgau).

 §6 Deletion and blocking of personal data

             We process and store personal data of the data subject only for the period of time necessary to achieve the purpose of storage or if this has been provided for by the European Directive and Regulation Maker or another legislator in laws or regulations to which the controller is subject.

                       If the storage purpose ceases to apply or if a storage period prescribed by the European Directive and Regulation Maker or another competent legislator expires, the personal data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

                        Upon leaving the association, the member’s personal data shall be deleted from the membership data management system. Personal data relating to the treasury administration will be stored in accordance with the provisions of tax law for up to ten years from the written confirmation of the resignation by the Executive Board. They will be blocked.

 §7 Your rights

             The member has the right to information from the association about his stored data as well as to its correction and deletion (unless Art. 6, Para. 1, lit b) or lit f) DSGVO is concerned). This also refers to a restriction of data processing or an objection to data transfer. A corresponding request must be made in text form to the Executive Board.
